Red Carpet Withdrawl? Get Your Fix Here!

Sunday night would have been the Golden Globes. Would have been. With the writer's still on strike, there was no red carpet in Hollywood tonight. No "tell us who you're wearing!", no best/worst dressed lists. No innovative hairstyles, no "look how thin she is!"... Whatever will we do?

Couture Cult to the rescue! Here are the nominee's for Best Actress, and what we think they should have worn...

Keira Knightley:

Armani Prive Couture

Cate Blanchett:

Chanel Couture

Julie Christie:

Elie Saab Couture

Jodie Foster:

Givenchy Couture

Angelina Jolie:

Valentino Couture

WINNER: Julie Christie, for her role in "Away From Her"! Congratulations! Speech, and cue the music!

What do you think of our picks?

Talk Isn't Cheap Anymore

You heard it here first! Armani and Samsung have joined forces to bring us not only an Armani cell phone, but also a line of home electronics. The cell phone, which will cost approximately 650euro will premier in Europe as soon as November. Next up will be an Armani LCD television to be sold from Armani Casa locations.

Armani is not the first to do the cell phone thing, we've seen Dolce & Gabanna and Prada already bring us their take on the cell phone, an accessory none of us can seem to do without. However he does seem to be the first to extend his brand by way of electronics for the home.

"Today fashion has expanded to encompass our way of life, not just how we dress, but how we design our home, the hotels we stay in, the car we drive and the technology we buy," Mr. Armani said. "These are all lifestyle decisions, where design and performance are the criteria."

The phone is said to be credit card sized, and boasts a 3 megapixel camera, a music player, and an internet browser, with a 2.6 inch LCD touch screen.

"This powerful partnership ... will aim to satisfy the growing consumer demand for style and simplicity in portable and home entertainment products, and will enable both partners to reach new audiences and further connect with existing ones," Jong-Yong Yun, vice chairman of Samsung Electronics, said in a statement.
